Description: Chestatee Regional Hospital is hiring Surgical Services Director right now, this vacancy will be placed in Georgia. The Director of Surgical Services is responsible personally or through delegation for providing effective leadership to manage the direction of the unit utilizing a continuous performance improvement focus. The Director provides the framework for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care services the assigned units, and is an active participant in assisting with these functions of the departmental, administrative and interdisciplinary levels. She/He demonstrates a high degree of clinical knowledge and expertise, acts as a role model for nursing practice and guest advocacy, and interprets the organization†s missions and goals for integration into practice at the unit level in a fiscally responsible manner and within the guidelines of legal, legislative and regulatory directives. Demonstrates the provision of surgical nursing care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients requiring surgical interventions based on the nursing process and for which education and experience has provided the necessary nursing skills.

Will scrub/circulate in an emergency or to relieve staff if necessary. All other duties as assigned. Graduate of accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.

Current Georgia RN license. Five years of clinical and progressive supervisory/management experience Peri-operative Services.
