Description

:

The PRN RN performs a variety of direct patient care, works collaboratively with the health care team, is customer focused, and strives to meet department and hospital goals. Provides quality nursing care according to established practice standards and guidelines for the areas assigned.

PRN Level Program - 3 month commitment for one of the following:

Level II

• 12 hours per week (48 hours per 4-week schedule).

24 hours of the 48 hourly commitment must occur on a weekend shift.

Base rate to correspond with the Level II program.

Level III

• 48 hours per week (96 hours per 4-week schedule).

48 hours of the 96 hourly commitment must occur on a weekend shift.

Base rate to correspond with the Level III program.

Level IV

• 36 hours per week (144 hours per 4-week schedule).

36 hours of the 144 hourly commitment must occur on a weekend shift.

Base rate to correspond with the Level IV program.

Qualifications

:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, and/or EXPERIENCE

Licensed in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse. Previous hospital experience in area of specialty preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS

Licensed in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse. Per Tenet requirements, the Tenet EKG Competency exam must be passed within 30 days of hire. BLS certification required, ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment. PALS / ENPC certification required within 6 months of employment. TNCC required for all full-time and part-time staff within one year of employment (required for PRN employees at Director's discretion).

OTHER REQUIRED SPECIAL SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE

Demonstrates theoretical and clinical expertise and the application of knowledge thereof, in the assigned specialty. Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills. Basic computer skills required.
