Description: Eastside Medical Center - Snellville is hiring Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal ICU - PT Nights - 7p-7a right now, this job will be placed in Georgia. The NICU RN provides direct nursing care to neonates and their families in accordance with established policies, procedures and prot! ocols of the healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilities include:

Assesses, plans and implements care and interventions in addressing the problems of the neonate.

Carries out physician orders.

Assists physician during examination, treatment, and procedures.

Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs.

Provides nutritional assessment and care to the infant.

Promotes family centered nursing care for neonates.

Qualifications

Required Job Qualifications include:
Current GA licensure as an Registered Nurse.

ACLS(required for L/D within 6 months of employment)

Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association

NRP(required within 6 months of employment)

AWHONN

Fetal Monitoring

(required for L/D:
Introductory

within 3 months of employmen! t

Intermediate

within 6-9 months of employme! nt

Advanced

after 2 years of L/D -required within 6 months of employment)

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
