Ensure regulatory compliance adherence with state and federal government agencies related to the operation of the Specialty Business Units and oversee national compliance programs through risk manag! ement and process improvement activities
Position Responsibilities:
Implement process improvements to prevent, detect and respond to compliance issues related to all federal, state and contract regulatory requirements
Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with subsidiary management teams and designees from state and federal agencies
Meet or exceed subsidiary and state and federal customer satisfaction, including service delegation and compliance with servicing agreements
Develop corrective action plan processes to reduce or eliminate risk resulting from non-compliant contract requirements or performance deficiencies
Direct the management of composition and delivery of responses to state and federal regulatory agency complaints and inquiries
Determine requirements and administration of ongoing licensure maintenance
Oversee contract management, including the drafting of amendments and! periodic assessments against contract requirements
D! rive the execution of all compliance tasks specific to responses to ârequest for proposalsâ (RFPs) and new business implementations for Specialty Business Units
Oversee and support development and deployment of compliance training and educational materials
Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, Public Policy or related field. 8+ years of combined regulatory compliance and auditing experience in a healthcare industry. Knowledge of, and experience with, Medicaid and Medicare rules and regulations. Extensive knowledge of state and federal government agencies, accreditation bodies, participating provider agreements, HIPAA and Third Party Administration (TPA) laws, credentialing regulations and prompt pay laws. Previous experience with ancillary health care services including Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM), behavioral health, nurse triage or telehealth, dental, vision and/or d! isease management programs a plus.
