A Registered Professional Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care through the application of the nursing process, which includes, assessment, planning implementing and evaluating care rendered. Car! e provider will address physical, psychosocial, rehabilitative, and discharge needs of the patient and his/her family. The Registered Nurse guides and supervises assigned nursing personnel, collaborates with other health care professionals, coordinates ancillary staff, functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the Hospital and within the legal framework of the State. Demonstrates professional growth and accountability. Provides direct patient care primarily for patients age 12 and up. (44779)

Hours:
FULL TIME 7a-7p, at least one weekend a month 36 Hours

Skills:
1. Demonstrated leadership ability and interest in developing management skills. / 2. Ability to work with and direct others in the care of critically ill patients within a stressful environment by setting priorities making decisions and delivery of appropriate care. / 3. Thorough knowledge of unit policies, procedures and standards of care. / 4. Thorough! knowledge of procedures performed on the nursing unit with ab! ility to assist other staff members and physicians. / 5. Willingness to maintain current knowledge and skill related to the care and support of patients normally cared for on the assigned nursing unit.

Experience:
Completion of registered nursing school program.
