Location: Atlanta Georgia

Description: Emory Healthcare is at present looking to employ Medical Assistant right now, this vacancy will be placed in Georgia. Performs basic patient assessment procedures including vital signs, infection disease control, universal precautions, and other specialized ta! sks such as phlebotomy/injections. Performs interpretation for clients and staff as applicable. Position prepares the charts, rooms and patient for physicians and then assist physician during the examination. Monitor and order medical supplies and materials under the guidance of the Nurse Practitioner and/or Clinic Manager. Performs light administrative duties, such as copying and filing. Will be cross-trained to be able to answer phones, schedule and greet patients, i.e. front desk duties, if necessary.

Minimum qualifications: One year experience in a Healthcare or customer service industry preferred. Basic computer skills preferred.High School diploma or GED required. Certificate verifying successful completion of a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) required. Current BCLS (CPR) certification or must succes! sfully complete a BCLS class before administering direct patie! nt care. Addendum to Job Description Monday-Thurs 7:30am or 8:00am-5:00pm

Friday 7:30am-8:00am until noon Preferred Qualifications EMR preferable
Fast paced worked, busy practice, multi-task absolulely required.
