Job Title Asst Professor-CT Job Requisition ID 40811BR Operating Unit/Division School Of Medicine Department 736524:SOM: Peds: Critical Care Full/Part Time Full-Time Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Hourly $ 0 Midpoint Hourly $ 0 Minimum Annual $ 0 Midpoint Annual $ 0 Job Description The Division of Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine, working in partnership and practicing at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is seeking a board eligible or board certified pediatric intensivist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our ten phys! icians and growing number of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. A ! physician joining our group will find family oriented individuals who value mutual respect. Applicants with research experience or interests in clinical, translational, neurocritical care, and/or healthcare quality and safety are encouraged to apply. Numerous opportunities exist for collaboration across disciplines and in conjunction with Emory, Georgia Tech, Morehouse, and the CDC.

A successful candidate must have a commitment to excellence, education, patient safety and collaboration. Responsibilities will include educational and clinical duties in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, a medical/surgical 30 bed unit (expanding to 36 beds in 2014) with >2200 admissions per year. Patient care includes ECMO, CRRT, & transport medical control, but does not include post-operative cardiac care (separate Cardiac ICU). Optional opportunity exists to participate in Children’s Sedation Services. Our CCM group supports an accredited fellowship program and is an integral p! art of resident education.
