Further informations about this career opportunity kindly read the description below. Responsible for coordination of and monitoring of nursing standards and practice ! throughout the hospital. Indirectly supervises all nursing personnel. Responsible for formulation of and implementation of operational policies and procedures necessary to meet objectives. Evaluating, developing, recommending and implementing Piedmont Healthcare System's policies and procedures related to the delivery of safe and efficient quality nursing care. Plans and directs the activities of a staff of managerial, professional/technical and auxiliary nursing personnel. Collaborates as part of the entity C-Suite to make decisions regarding service outcomes within the hospital.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and implements the design of nursing workflow to create a desirable environment for nurses to be effective while balancing the administrative and financial needs of the hospital
2. Evaluates and revises systems and processes which ensure achievement of patient centered outcomes.
3. Oversees staffing levels and collaborates wit! h the nursing leaders and staff on current nursing issues.
4. Directs and evaluates the hospital's plan for patient care.
5. Collaborates with the professional clinical support services, quality assurance systems, risk management and clinical education to align staff with mission and philosophy of the hospital.
6. Ensures that JCAHO, state and federal standards are upheld and that quality of care is maintained.
7. Represents nursing and patient care in Piedmont Henry's strategic planning meetings.
8. Promotes the development of successful medical staff relationships.
9. Leads the daily practice of nursing across all clinical settings.
10. Provides guidance for patient care services at all levels to align services with the strategic direction of the hospital.
11. Defines and evaluates the goals and objectives of nursing management and patient care.
12. Provides direct supervision to Clinical Directors of Nursing and nursing unit management teams.
! 13. Collaborates with the system CNO and PHC CNO council to develop and implement system wide nursing practice initiatives and standardization of nursing care delivery across PHC. Implements system wide Nursing initiatives that are approved by PHC executive leadership.
14. Advises senior management on the clinical impact of all aspects of the hospital's business activities and decisions.

Master of Science in Nursing or Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of fifteen years of nursing practice experience. Minimum of ten years of senior management experience in an acute hospital setting. Experience in developing staff and improving quality and clinical excellence required. Ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff from ! all levels. Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills are required. Experience with turnaround/transformation of a large department highly desired.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered nurse with current license to practice nursing in the State of Georgia.
