Job Purpose: Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candi! dates; advising the Executive Director and assists in managing relocations for new hires. In addition, the incumbent will develop new business opportunities by obtaining contracts with CSB’s, Core Programs, Jail Systems, etc . The incumbent must plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince targeted organizations to do business with Avenia. The incumbent will recruit qualified staff that will lead to employment of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and other staff to fulfill Avenia’s staffing requirements. The incumbent must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and support that will continually improve the relationship. They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new products and support services to clients.

Job Duties:

  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing org! anization information, opportunities, and benefits; making pre! sentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews; arranging community tours.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
  • Manages new employee relocation by determining new employee requirements; negotiating with movers; arranging temporary housing; providing community introductions.
  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and ! practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
  • Planning and preparing presentations
  • Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
  • Overseeing the development of effective marketing literature
  • Writing reports
  • Providing management with feedback
  • Perform other duties as may be required from time to time by the Executive Director.
Skills/Qualifications: The incumbent must have experience in recruiting, hiring, human resources management practices, working knowledge of compensation and wage structure, support diversity and employment law. They need strong leadership skills and should be able to manage and motivate a wide range of people. They must be able to anticipate the changing needs of customer! s and clients. They should be outgoing and friendly and exceptional at ! building rapport.
They must have excellent presentation, listening and consulting skills (which are vital), and should be able to process a wide range of information and communicate it clearly to the customer or employee.
