JOB SUMMARY: a brief description of the job.

The Certified Nurse’s Assistant cares for and treats residents in the nursing unit, as directed by the Physician, Director of Nursing, House Supervisor, RNs, and LPNs, by performing routine and essential duties while having a Customer Service mind set.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: minimum requirements to be considered qualified to do the job.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and meet certain requirements. Completion of the State approved training program for C! ertified Nursing Assistants and competency evaluation is requi! red. Also a high school education or equivalent work experience is required. Must be able to read, interpret and understand verbal instructions; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology; have basic math skills. Must be able to perform under stressful conditions, must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
