The Manager of IT Security is responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Children's information systems. You will serve as an! expert advisor to management, peers, and clinical users in defining, recommending and implementing the necessary controls and procedures to cost-effectively protect our information system assets.You will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our world-class information security organization, including policies, access management, IT infrastructure, and regulatory compliance. This position will report to the Director, Information Systems Security and will oversee and coordinate the project and operational activities of our IS&T Security Team.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Management: Directly manages the Information Security Team. Works closely with Leadership and teams to prioritize work to accomplish goals, deliver projects and maintain operations.
  • Reporting: Develops quality measures to asses the overall success of the team and the information security program. Provide reports to Leadership.
  • Vendor Relationship Manage! ment: Evaluates and selects relevant vendor tools based on pro! ject requirements. Communicates with established and potential vendors to establish and maintain relationships, resulting in successful security operations.
  • Governance: Responsible for contributing to the definition of and managing the information security program.
  • Security Architecture: Responsible for analysis, definition, and implementation of technology and policy architecture.
  • Outreach and Awareness: Responsible for championing awareness, influencing compliance with security policies, and providing solutions for business-specific security issues.
  • Engineering: Responsible for oversight of day-to-day security operations.
  • Business Continuity: Responsible for contributing to the development, coordinating, and managing information security systems and for developing overall business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Serve as thought leader for information security regulatory compliance and au! dit, including PCI and HIPAA.
Required Skills:EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline required, major is flexible. Master's degree preferred.
  • CISSP or CISM Certification, required.
  • 7+ years of practitioner and management experience with information security governance, organizational structure, concepts, controls and audits.
  • 7+ years of practitioner and management understanding of at least five of the following areas: risk assessment, policy writing, compliance audits, training and awareness, incident response, vulnerability management, configuration management, patch management, logging and monitoring, identity and access management, password management/synchronization, data loss prevention, wireless security, mobile device security, penetration testing, business continuity/disaster recovery, encryption, anti-virus/anti-malware, s! ecure development lifecycle, forensic investigations.
  • 7+ years! of experience with relevant information security frameworks such as NIST and ISO.
  • 7+ years of practitioner and oversight of product deployment and operational responsibility for identity management, anti-virus/anti-malware, hard drive encryption, password reset, and others relevant tools
  • 7+ years of practitioner and oversight experience in design and maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory permissions and security role-based access control models.
  • Prior experience in design and maintenance of permissions and security role-based access control models for healthcare industry-standard ERP or EMR systems (ideally Epic) is preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in healthcare setting.
  • 2+ years experience with network administration as well as systems administration.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to develop and guide information security team members and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of ! applicable legal and regulatory requirements (PCI, HIPAA).
  • Strong practitioner and management experience with environment change control, change management, and environment management.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard HR information systems (Lawson preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory credentialing system (Cactus preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of physical and logical security systems, preferred.
  • Leadership Experience in IT support organization, preferred
  • Strong project management skills, required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally known information technology platforms, standards, and software development language(s).
  • Experience working with legal, audit and compliance staff.
  • Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively an! d build consensus with teams across organizational lines, including bus! iness leaders/managers, IT engineering, IT operations, administrators, physicians, nurses, allied health workers, and patient care systems users.
  • Strong project management skills and experience in creating and managing project plans, including budgeting, resource allocation, demand management, and conflict resolution.
