Location: Statesboro Georgia

Description: Georgia Southern University is at present looking to employ Academic Advisor right now, this position will be placed in Georgia. Provide students with in-depth information concerning course descriptions, prerequisites, and registration procedures; assist in developing academic schedules; counsel students facing ac! ademic problems; perform preliminary evaluation of transfer credits; conduct summer orientation sessions; review and request transcripts; counsel students regarding change of major and process requests; audit student's progression toward graduation; work on special projects and make presentations; and assist with data collection and analysis for annual report. Position requires some evening and weekend work and overnight travel on occasion.

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Experience Required:
One or more years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processin! g, spreadsheets, and databases; ability to work well in a dive! rse environment; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree preferred. Degree or experience in Athletic Training, Child & Family Development, Exercise Science, Fashion Merchandising & Apparel Design, Health Education & Promotion, Interior Design, Nursing, Nutrition & Food Science, Recreation, or Sport Management preferred.

Salary Range:
Budgeted Maximum: $32,000
