Description: Georgia Urology, P.A. is at present looking to employ Licensed RN PACU-Ambulatory Surgery Center right now, this vacancy will be placed in Georgia. Georgia Urology, P.A. is looking for a Dynamic PACU Registered Nurse who will, under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Practice! Manager, provide exemplary care to our patients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities will be to:

Provide Nursing care in accordance with established GU policies, procedures and protocols.

Assess, plan and evaluate the nursing care needs of patients pre-operatively, peri-operatively and post-operatively.

Compare lab reports as received from lab to verify tests ordered are reported to office.

Prepare and administer injections per physician request and/or orders.

Check in new supplies, distribute as appropriately and assure proper stocking of exam and treatment rooms.

Maintain attention to detail with documentation of activities during the surgical procedure regarding use of supplies, equipment, and medications.

Assist physician as needed during patient exams and minor office surgical procedures.

Perform recovery room nursing duties for the immediate post surgical patient by monitoring airways, circulat! ion, vital signs, and pain management.

Other duties a! s assigned.

Physical Demands: Hearing within normal range. Must be able to auscultate blood pressures and hear soft voices. must be able to clearly communicate instructions, relay information to personnel, patients and family members. Visual acuity within normal range, must be able to prioritize. This is a fast paced environment with lots of walking and standing.
