A Registered Professional Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care through the application of the nursing process, which includes, assessment, planning implementing and evaluating care ren! dered. Care provider will address physical, psychosocial, rehabilitative, and discharge needs of the patient and his/her family. The Registered Nurse guides and supervises assigned nursing personnel, collaborates with other health care professionals, coordinates ancillary staff, functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the Hospital and within the legal framework of the State. Demonstrates professional growth and accountability. Provides direct patient care primarily for patients ranging in age from infant to geriatric. (48020)

Hours:
FULL TIME Night Shift _ every other weekend required, other shifts vary 36 Hours

1. Demonstrated leadership ability and interest in developing management skills. / 2. Ability to work with and direct others in the care of acutely ill patients within a stressful environment by setting priorities making decisions and delivery of appropriate care. / 3. Thorough knowledge of uni! t policies, procedures and standards of care. / 4. Thorough kn! owledge of procedures performed on the nursing unit with ability to assist other staff members and physicians. / 5. Willingness to maintain current knowledge and skill related to the care and support of patients normally cared for on the assigned nursing unit. 6. Demonstrates competency with computer skills as required.

Experience:
Completion of registered nursing school program.
