For detail informations about this job opportunity please read the description below. Description RESPONSIBLE FOR: All nursing functions for the Breast Health Center. Direct and/or indirect total nursing care of the adult and geriatric patients whil! e in the Breast Health Center and Operating Room and for the direction and supervision of personnel assigned to him/her, including Nursing Assistants, Anesthesia Technicians and Surgical Technologists.
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the state of Georgia with a minimum of five years clinical nursing experience. Experience in clinical and community education with an emphasis on public speaking. Possesses interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well over the telephone and the ability to effectively learn the Breast Center patient's psychosocial needs. Strong teaching skills to meet the educational needs of the patients and staff. CPR certified, experience in the operating room or successful completion of PHOR or other approved perioperative training course. Ability to work effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy. Able to work in a stressful environment; ha! ve good written and oral communication; ability to recognize i! mportance of being a role model for peers and subordinates. Willingness to participate in a call rotation and work irregular hours as necessary. Able to meet physical demands of position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Provides psychosocial, educational, and clinical support to patients. 2. Provides education and support to all patients newly diagnosed with breast cancer. 3. Provides clinical support to radiologist during interventional procedures. 4. Processes daily reports and letters from Penrad system 5. Tracks daily pathology results of patients seen in the Breast Health Center. 6. Maintains staff education 7. Ensures attendance at staff meetings. 8. Maintains departmental customer service rating of predetermined standard of 92.5%.
