The Administrative Supervisor is a registered professional nurse who functions under the direction of the Director of Nursing and is responsible for the professional and administrative supervision of safe age appropriate and culturally aware patient care within the hospital. Responsibilities include: management of nursing activities to assure consistent standards of practice, administrative coordination of hospital functions, and coordination of appropriate staffing for patient care.
Required Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing; current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the State of Georgia; Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred; national certification in nursing administration preferred.
Required Minimum Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years nursing! practice that includes sufficient clinical and management experiences demonstrating proficiency in provision of patient care and leadership skills.
Required Skills:
Ability to read, write and speak the English language; Possesses advanced knowledge of clinical practice and medical-legal aspects of labor relations; Possesses advanced knowledge and skills; Demonstrates knowledge of standards related to the field of practice, financial management and concepts of interpersonal relationships; Strong customer service skills; Inter- and intra-departmental coordination of patient care activities; Delegation skills required; Ability to multi-task essential; Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations essential; Strong detail orientation required; Computer skills required; Personal time management skills required; Adept as a change agent; Utilizes wide range of theories in managing complex problems or problem resolution; Demonstrates expertise relat! ed to the following required: commitment to the advancement of nursing ! practice and the nursing profession, interpersonal communication skills related to knowledge of group/system dynamics, commitment to staff education and development; Knowledge of nursing theory and research required; Compliance with the American Nurses' Association Code of Ethics for Professional Nurses is required; Demonstrates knowledge of and practices within parameters outlined in Georgia Registered Professional Nurse Practice Act.
