Nurse Practitioner

psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility located two
and one-half miles from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International
Airport. Anchor Hospital is fully licensed by! the State of Georgia
and accredited by the Joint Commission. Anchor Hospital has been
providing accessible, quality behavioral health care since
1986.

We are
currently seeking two (2) Nurse

Practitioners:
One
(1) Psychiatric Specialist

One
(1) Other Medical Specialist

The Nurse Practitioner works autonomously but in
collaboration with physicians to deliver primary medical and
psychiatric care. The Nurse Practitioner provides services by
developing treatment plans for patients on inpatient units and
partial hospitalization programs. Work closely with behavioral team
to coordinate medical and psychiatric treatment. Approach all
patients and referral sources with a customer service
attitude.

Requirements

Current and unencumbered
license as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Georgia.

Must meet the training, education and
experience requirement! s to be authorized to practice as a Nurse
Practitioner in ! the state of Georgia.

Must have the authority to practice as a
Nurse Practitioner in the state of Georgia.

Must have the authority to prescribe as a
Nurse Practitioner in the state of Georgia.

Must be certified by a recognized national
certifying body preferred.

MasterĂ¢€™s Required; Doctoral Degree
desirable.

Must meet Physician-Nurse Practitioner
restrictive collaborative requirements specific to Georgia and supply
a copy of all active collaborating physician agreements.

Must have insurance required by state law for
Nurse Practitioners to practice [and prescribe] in the state of
Georgia, or be eligible for such insurance requirements to be
satisfied by group coverage with an employer.

Previous experience in geriatric and
psychiatric care preferred.

Must have knowledge of Medicare reimbursement
and coding for all levels of service.

Excellent oral and ! written communication
skills, experienced working in a collaborative care team environment
and functioning autonomously with minimal supervision.

Current CPR certification.

Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.

Must be familiar with general use and functions of
the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet;
e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs,
using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool
bars.
