Albany is nestled in the heart of Southwest Georgia, and is just a short drive from the beaches on the Atlantic coast of Georgia, the mountains of North Georgia where the Appalachian Trail begins, or the panhandle beaches of the Florida Gulf Coast. KEY REQUIREMENTS

You must be a US Citizen.

This position ! is a drug-testing designated position (TDP).

You must obtain and maintain a security clearance.

DUTIES:
Preparing long range training plans in Crime Prevention, Security Watch, Physical Security and/or Information Security.

Establishing and providing for maintenance of records relating to losses of government and personal property, violations, or breaches of physical security measures and procedures.

Training personnel to identify and prioritize, by attractive nature and likelihood of loss, assigned property susceptible to theft and pilferage.

Maintaining up-to-date procedures for security watch use of various lists (e.g., overtime lists, shift schedules, security monitor lists, on-call lists, phone listings, etc.)

Evaluating crime prevention programs and recommending changes to reduce opportunities for theft, illegal entry, or other kinds of violations.

Maintaining procedures for operation of radios ! during power outages, threat conditions, fire or natural disasters.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the dut! ies of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the follow! ing: 1) Monitoring security of an area, entrance, or building to ensure the safety of personnel or property; 2) Controlling personnel access by monitoring the identification of individuals entering a controlled area; 3) Carrying and operating firearms in accordance with proper procedures; and 4) Operating a personal computer or computer terminal to enter and retrieve data/information.

REQUIREMENTS:
Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

A secret security clearance is a requirement of this position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal. If you possess a security clearance, please indicate the level and termination date in your resume.

In accordance with Executive Order 12564, applicants selected are required to submit to a drug test and receive a negative drug test result prior to appointment. In addition, this position is a drug-testing designated position (TDP) subject to random testing for illegal drug use.

This position requires access to firearms or ammunition. The Federal government is prohibited from! employing individuals in such positions who have ever been convicted o! f a misdemeanor crime or domestic violence, or a felony crime of domestic violence adjudged on or after 27 November 2002. This position requires the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle.

This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station.

The employee must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.

The employee maybe required to work overtime.

The employee may be recalled to duty.

The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee does sedentary work primarily, such as sitting comfortably; ho! wever the employee can perform moderately strenuous work, involving some physical exertion such as standing for long periods, bending and stopping to observe and study work operations in an industrial, storage or comparable work area.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee is regularly exposed to moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions. Must use protective clothing and/or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes and shields.
