Description

The staff nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience. Responsible for providing patient care with an understanding and awareness of age specific needs. Addresses the biological, emotional, development, psychosocial and patient/family education needs in providing care to the patient and family. The nurse is responsible for delivering patient care in complex, multiple problem patient care situations. In addition to patient care delivery, the nurse is responsible for patient, family/support system education, coordination of activities, staff development, and professional and self-developmental activities. The nurse is able to independently perform job duties in a wound care and hyperbaric setting.

Qualifications

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.

Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the life span to assess the age-specific needs of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and to provide the appropriate care.

Experience:
Wound care experience preferred but may begin at entry level and successfully complete orientation at the Wound care center.

Hyperbaric nursing experience preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:
Current RN license

Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support

Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Certification as a Hyperbaric Registered Nurse â€" preferred

Certification in Wound Care â€" preferred
