The Staff Nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience. The nurse is responsible for coordinating and providing patient care that is age appropriate, and addresses the biological, cultural, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and patient/family education needs. In addition to patient care delivery, the nurse supports staff development, customer service, and continuous quality improvement programs. The nurse is self-directed in coordinating patient care activities and self-development activities. Charge nurse responsibilities may be required.
